Another Summer - Another Ride "Following the Comet"

Riders:  Schultz, Sean (maybe Michael in the sag-wagon if we can convince him)

This year's route (Following the Comet of course) takes us through Ohio to Toledo and the shores of Lake Erie.  Then north to Saginaw, Michigan where we will leave the highways and follow the eastern shore of Lake Huron to Mackinaw Island.  We will then cross the Canadian border at Sault Set Marie, Ontario.  We will pick up Lake Superior at Whitefish Bay and then ride the Kings Highway along the northern shore of Lake Superior to Wawa and then Thunder Bay.  Continuing along the lake shore we will head south into Minnesota and Duluth.   At Duluth we will head west to Lake Itacsa, Minnesota, the course of the Mighty Mississippi River.  We will follow the Ole Miss south to St. Louis along the Great River Road to complete the full ride of the river.  From St. Louis we will mosey west back towards Pittsburgh.  We are allowing 12 days to cover approximately 3400 miles.  It is approximate because the Great River Road along the Mississippi does not always follow map rules.
